The question is no longer whether AI changes business — it already has. The question is who controls how it develops, how it's governed, and who gets to participate in what comes next.
The DeAI Summit 2026, hosted by the HumanAIx Foundation, is a global leadership forum built around that question. Senior delegates from frontier AI laboratories, decentralised AI networks, regulatory institutions, venture capital, enterprise innovation, and public policy will converge on Malta for three days of substantive dialogue on the decisions that will define AI's next decade.
The summit format is designed for serious engagement: Oxford-style debates between contrasting AI visions, technical rebuttal sessions where arguments are tested under scrutiny, policy working groups where regulatory direction is shaped in real time, and a VC pitch competition where the next generation of AI infrastructure founders make their case to global capital.
It is a working forum, with outcomes attached to every format.
Contributors span the global AI ecosystem: frontier AI laboratories, decentralised infrastructure networks, global enterprises and professional firms, and leading universities and policy institutions — see the full contributor list at deaisummit.org.
Malta's decision to host the DeAI Summit reflects a decade of deliberate positioning: a European jurisdiction that moves faster than most, with a regulatory track record in financial services, gaming, and digital assets that the global AI industry has noticed.
For Maltese businesses, the summit is a rare window. The world's AI decision-makers are spending three working days on the island, in working sessions, with time between them. The informal access that comes from sharing a venue is real.
Malta has the infrastructure, the regulatory maturity, and the European positioning to become a serious node in the global AI ecosystem. The DeAI Summit 2026 is part of that trajectory.
Working sessions across the summit's core themes — Oxford-style debates, technical rebuttals, policy working groups, and a VC pitch competition.
The full day-by-day programme is being finalised by the organisers. See deaisummit.org for the latest.
